Comicspace was the first place I ever gathered up an online portfolio, and its kind of sad to see it fall apart and lose its following. Over the last couple of years, traffic through the site has slowed to a crawl. Still, its a good place to keep a larger gallery of work to show a prospective editor, probably the main edge it has over a blog like this. A major positive was the crowd itself, who showed a genuine love of comics, from the fanboy-ish to the business end, being far less troll-like and juvenile than say, Deviantart. While I do try to visit the page as often as I can, its become more of a formality than anything. Still, I raise my glass to what could have been.
